I'm Jackie Rocks and I am 16 years old  from Santa Cruz, California.  

Here is my Bio:

Jackie is a singer/songwriter and has a large catalog of songs in different genres of music including indie/acoustic, pop, modern rock, punk, metal, and blues.

 She is the lead guitarist and vocalist of her bands JACKIE ROCKS. She writes her own material and displays her versatility when covering songs from the likes of Pat Benetar, Heart, and even a rock version of Alicia Key's, "No One." The acoustic performances are spectacular as well and really showcase her talent. Her band has been compared to a wide variety of artists such as Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, The Donnas, Poison, AFI, System of a Down, and My Chemical Romance. With her band, they have pursued every performing opportunity to get their music heard. Not only do they rock local venues and benefit concerts for various charities, they are branching out into the Greater Bay area and beyond. They are a professional working band with over 300 live performances under their belt.

 Jackie is not only a very talented young lady, but also a great role model, inspiring many children and teens to start their own bands and write songs. She gives guitar lessons to children of all ages and is regularly asked to play at local schools. She's also performed at fundraisers that have had great success in reaching their goals as well as performing on local cable tv shows in Santa Cruz. Jackie's original songs have been very well received and have had many accomplishments:

 *Original song "Clone" was chosen by Seventeen Magazine & Converse Shoes as the winner of the "Next Breakout Band" contest, which was open to female led bands from around the country.

 *Jackie is sponsored by Daisy Rock Guitars and is featured on their website among many outstanding female guitar players.

*Winners of Seventeen Magazine & Converse Shoe's contest as potential breakout artist

 * Performed at the "Rock The Runway" fashion show in Philadelphia

 * Multiple performances at Candlestick Park for the San Francisco 49ers games and events

 * Featured on the 49ers/Bay Area television show, "Total Access"

 * Top 10 finalist in National Record Store Day's Battle of the Bands; original song, "Haunted", was featured on a vinyl album compilation that was released across the US in the spring of 2010

 * 2nd place the San Mateo School Of Rock Battle of the Bands and in The San Jose Public Libraries Battle of the Bands

*Her songs "My Own World" and "Haunted" have received college radio airplay in Chicago at UIC, winners of the 2010 Chicago Music Award/Best CollegePublic Station and Airplay on San Jose State University's Radio Station and reached the top 10 on the Metal charts in March 2010 and Airplay on UC Berkeley's college radio station.

 *My Own World reached the top 20 on San Jose Radio Station LIVE 105's "Cabo Wabo Your Shot to Rock" contest

 *My Own World was also a top 10 finalist on an Ourstage.com contest to open for the band Hanson.
